UK Web hosting provider Rackspace Hosting announced on Friday it has been placed 18th on the Financial Times UK's 50 Best Workplaces ranking for 2010.

The announcement follows the company being voted in March as the 30th best place to work in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies Awards.

The listing recognizes Rackspace for creating one of the best places to work in the UK for six consecutive years.

Rackspace was also listed in "The Best Workplaces For Generation Y" category which quizzed under-25s on whether they would advocate Rackspace as a 'great place to work'.

The FT's Best Workplaces Program is run by the Great Place to Work Institute UK, which has been formed to single out excellence in people management.

Rackspace will expand two cloud infrastructures including SMB public cloud services and VMware-based enterprise private cloud to the UK in the fourth quarter of 2010.
