Go Daddy’s Danica Partick First Woman to Win IndyCar Series Race

Danica Partick is the first woman in IndyCar history books to win.

She took the checkered flag at the Japan 300 in Motegi, near Tokyo, in dramatic fashion too - finishing more than five seconds ahead of pole-sitter Helio Castroveves after taking the lead with three laps to go. Shortly after leaving the winner's circle Patrick went online with GoDaddy.com and blogged about her historic victory.

"It's hard to put into words what it feels like to win. It's unbelievable," she said. "I have worked so hard, for so long, to reach this point. I'm sure it's going to take a little while for it to sink in."
