UK web hosting provider UK2 Group announced last week it has partnered with ISPsystem in which VPS.NET (vps.net) will offer customers ISPsystem's flagship control panel ISPmanager PRO for free.
Normally priced at €34.00 per month, ISPmanager PRO is a server management control panel that lets customers manage different aspects of a server through a web interface.
The control panel uses 10MB of RAM and 40MB of hard disk space.
VPS.NET has also recently launched a new feature which lets customers upgrade the amount of nodes on their VPS when needed.
Customers can choose either a temporary or permanent upgrade.
The temporary upgrade lets customers add the number of nodes to their VPS at a certain date and time, and keep it there for a determined number of days. Customers only have to pay a daily rate of £1 per node for the extra "temporary burst nodes".
The permanent upgrade lets customers schedule their VPS to be upgraded to an increased number of nodes, which are permanently added to the account and assigned to the VPS. The nodes can be removed at any time but are charged for at the standard monthly rates.
This new feature is ideal for customers who need extra capacity on a short term, flexible basis with pricing to match.
The company says it will also be launching "Recurring Scheduled Bursts" where customers can set temporary increases in nodes on a recurring basis, in the near future.
